Description:
Carbetocin is a synthetic long-acting oxytocin 8-peptide analog with agonist properties, and its clinical and pharmacological properties are similar to those of naturally occurring oxytocin. Like oxytocin, carbetocin binds to the receptors of uterine smooth muscle to cause rhythmic contraction of the uterus. Based on the contraction of the original Chemicalbook, the frequency and tension of the uterus are increased. In the non-pregnant state, the oxytocin receptor content in the uterus is very low, and it increases during pregnancy and reaches a peak during childbirth.
