               Cyproheptadine is a first-generation antihistamine with additional anticholinergic, antiserotonergic, and local anesthetic
properties. Cyproheptadine is a 5-HT2/5-HT1C serotonin receptor antagonist; H1 histamine receptor antagonist; antipruritic.
          Cyproheptadine hydrochloride is mainly used for acute and chronic urticaria (especially for cold urticaria), papular urticaria,angioedema, allergic eczema, contact dermatitis, food allergy, drug allergy, Allergic rhinitis, hay fever, allergic
conjunctivitis, insect bite allergy and migraine. It has a certain therapeutic effect on bronchial asthma. It can also be used for adjuvant treatment of Cushing's syndrome and acromegaly. It can also be used as an appetite enhancer for neurotic fear. There are reports of treatment of acanthosis nigricans and prevention of necrotic pyoderma.
