Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), chemical formula (C10H8O4) N, is by dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol ester exchange or to terephthalate and ethylene glycol esterification synthesis of dihydroxyethyl terephthalate, and then the condensation reaction.   Is a crystalline saturated polyester, milky white or light yellow, highly crystalline polymer, smooth and shiny surface, is a common resin in life, can be divided into APET, RPET and PETG.

In a wide temperature range with excellent physical and mechanical properties, long-term use temperature up to 120ºC, excellent electrical insulation, even at high temperature and high frequency, its electrical properties are still good, but the corona resistance is poor, creep resistance, fatigue resistance, friction resistance, dimensional stability is very good.

PET is divided into fiber grade polyester slice and non-fiber grade polyester slice.   Fiber grade polyester is used to manufacture polyester staple fiber and polyester filament, which is the raw material for processing fiber and related products of polyester fiber enterprises.   Dacron is the most productive variety in chemical fiber.   Non-fiber polyester and bottle, film and other uses, widely used in the packaging industry, electronic appliances, medical and health, construction, automotive and other fields, packaging is the largest non-fiber polyester application market, but also the fastest growing PET field.

1. Good mechanical properties, impact strength is 3~5 times of other films, good folding resistance.

2. oil resistance, fat resistance, resistance to dilute acid, dilute alkali, resistance to most solvents.

3. Can be in 55-60ºC temperature range of long-term use, short-term use can withstand 65ºC high temperature, can withstand -70ºC low temperature, and high and low temperature has little impact on its mechanical properties.

4. Low permeability of gas and water vapor, both excellent resistance to gas, water, oil and odor performance.

5. High transparency, can block ultraviolet rays, good luster.
