ORANGE, Texas — 200 residents of Orange are left without power after a grapple truck accidently pulled down power and cable lines.
On Monday, January 29, 2024, a City of Orange truck was picking up limbs and wood left out by homeowners to be picked up in the 300 block of Burton, according to a city employee on scene. Electric Wire 25mm
The top of boom got snagged into power and cable lines. The truck snapped at least one power pole and pulled down the power and cable lines, the employee told 12News crew at the scene.
Entergy was called to the scene. The driver was stuck inside the truck until they could find out if the lines were still charged. The driver was able to safely get out of the truck unharmed.
