Today, NordicTrack has released their new “Elite Treadmill” featuring over 40 degrees of incline and a huge 32″ HD touchscreen. The NordicTrack Elite Treadmill is essentially an upgraded X32i with a new name, similar to the upgraded X22i we reviewed earlier this year.

In fact, the new NordicTrack Elite Treadmill is identical to the new X22i – except for its huge 32″ HD rotating touchscreen. Well that, and a slightly higher price. Flat Walking Treadmill

The NordicTrack Elite Treadmill is currently available for $4,499, which is $500 more than the new X22i Treadmill.

Having reviewed the new X22i, I have little doubt that the new NordicTrack Elite Treadmill will be the best-connected fitness treadmill available this year. The treadmill feels great to run on, especially with auto-adjusting features like Smart Adjust and Active Pulse.

However, those who prefer to hike rather than run will likely get the most out of the Elite Treadmill. The enormous incline range, which goes from -5 to +40%, provides an incredibly immersive and fun walking/hiking indoor experience. With countless running, walking, and hiking programs (including the award-winning 18-part “Trek to Everest Base Camp”), there is a lot here for everyone.

The NordicTrack Elite Treadmill’s price is definitely on the high-end for home treadmills. However, for those looking for the best-connected fitness treadmill experience, it doesn’t get any better than this.
