Thieves Target South OC Target Stores, 3 Suspects Arrested | Mission Viejo, CA Patch

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Three suspects accused of stealing from several Target stores across Southern California were arrested in south Orange County Thursday, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

"Yesterday afternoon, dispatch received a call from Target's loss prevention manager referencing three suspects inside the store stealing multiple beauty items," an OCSD news release said. Tungsten W Sputtering Target

Upon arriving, deputies found one suspect detained inside of the local store by loss prevention, while two other suspects were detained by deputies in their car, which was sitting in the store's parking lot.

"A search of the vehicle revealed two large storage totes containing multiple items of beauty products totaling approximately $13,667.06," the statement said.

The three suspects face the following charges: Burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, organized retail theft, child endangerment and the possession of a leaded cane, authorities said. Their identities or photos were not released.

According to the statement, one of the suspects admitted to stealing items from other Target locations in Southern California over the past week.

"During the investigation, deputies were informed that the Target in Rancho Santa Margarita had multiple items stolen that day and provided the same description as the suspects in the [Mission Viejo] case."
