The creator of Hamilton the Musical and original portrayer of Alexander Hamilton on Broadway, Lin-Manuel Miranda, is confirmed to be headed to Brisbane next month to meet the local company in-person and to attend an Australian performance for the first time. Miranda has been involved with the Australian production since pre-production began in 2019, and throughout the events of the pandemic which followed, so it is nice to see he will be able to attend ahead of the tour heading to New Zealand.
Lin-Manuel Miranda will also attending a special ‘fan event’. Those interested in attending this are encouraged to keep their ears open out for more information at a later date. Plastic Hollow Ball
The Brisbane season at QPAC’s Lyric Theatre, which opened on January 31, marks the final season for the show in Australia before it begins its international tour in Auckland from May 26. For those still after some good seats, a final wave of ticket sales have just gone live, through to performances beginning 4 April 2023 and ending 23 April 2023. This is the final wave of seats being released, with no extensions possible.
I have been waiting such a long time to come to Australia and I can’t wait to be with the company down under in-person for the first time. I have heard such great things from friends and fans in Australia, it is going to be fantastic to be able to meet them and watch them perform.
